I still can't believe that I am 29 weeks pregnant! The last couple of months have flown by. Aside from my back pain issues it has been pretty easy. Here is a quick run through the last couple of months.
Lance and I decided to start trying to have a baby when he got back from his internship in Washington D.C. Well it didn't take long and when I met my new OB at St. Vincents a few weeks later, I was pregnant! We didn't think it would be that easy, and we were thrilled! We wanted to wait to tell our friends and family when we were out of the first trimester....but because we were heading to the beach every free chance we had...we had to tell our beach buddies...Shelley and David! We had already planned a trip to Vegas in October with them so we knew they would be suspicious if I was not enjoying a wine pairing at our fancy dinners!!

This is the weekend we surprised
our travel buddies with the news! And they were sweet enough to keep our secret a secret until we revealed!!!
We took a fabulous weekend trip to Vegas with Shelley and David during my first trimester. We enjoyed the most fabulous Garth concert at the Wynn and saw the amazing "O" on the front row! Luckily, besides the sciatic nerve pain from walking, being pregnant didn't affect all the fun. Yes, I did get some looks when I refused a glass of wine at Picasso. And my heart did break a little to say no to the wine pairings with our pasta tasting at Mario Batali's restuarant...but

we had a blast!

The next few weeks flew by and it was so much fun to share our exciting news with our friends and family. We were thrilled when we found out we were having a boy! Lance and I had been hoping for a boy but of course we just prayed for healthy. Our prayers were answered and as soon as the OB tech told us 'it's a boy' we instantly knew what his name would be....Henry Elias! Henry...after Lance's grandfather who had passed away last summer and Elias...after my dad. I just love both names and thought they just fit!!!

| Celebrating Christmas in Gatlinburg |
We spent Christmas in Gatlinburg with our parents. We decided to reveal the news of our little man with a delicious Edgar's Cake. The day we arrived..the future Grandmothers cut into the cake to find out what would be the theme to their next few months of shopping!!! Everyone was very excited...althought most of our family expected the icing to be pink! We ended up getting snowed in that weekend and it was definitely a Christmas we will never forget!

We were showered with love and fabulous gifts at a baby shower in Gadsden. Our fabulous friends in Gadsden threw the most beautiful baby shower for me and Baby Henry. We received so many wonderful presents and it was great to catch up with old friends!

| Adorable Baby Shower Invitation and Stamp |

My mother had the cradle that Lance's Grandfather Henry built stained. It turned out to be beautiful and such a treasure! Henry had built it a few years ago when we had requested something that we could use when we had kids. He was such a precious part of our lives and I pray that our Baby Henry takes after such a wonderful man!

In January we celebrated the arrival of one of the most adorable babies! Baby Gia Nelson officially joined "The Lunch Club". Her mommy Erin is my fabulous friend from dental school! Morgan and I visited her at St. Vincents and totally fell in love with this bundle of joy! Lance and I also were hit with the reality that with God's help we would be there in a few months experiencing the same thing!!

The last few months we have made good progress on Henry's nursery. Our first purchase was this fabulous crib that has really set the tone for the whole room. I will be sure to post more pictures soon...but here is Miss Savannah checking out Henry's "crate" ....and she approved!!
